The Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center’s Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program recently implemented a secure kiosk to ensure 24/7 prescription pickup for the 202-bed domiciliary’ s patient population. ScriptCenter is a pharmacy kiosk implemented to reduce pharmacy pickup window traffic and improve patient satisfaction by allowing Veterans to pick up their prescriptions and medical supplies without waiting in line, and even when the pharmacy is closed. ScriptCenter also reduces trips to the pharmacy by the patients and nursing staff by transitioning domiciliary prescriptions to an alternate pickup location located in the domiciliary.

Since implementation, the facility has realized a 33% increase in medication compliance while ensuring a safe and secure patient transition into a lifestyle of self-care and personal responsibility.
