Vanderbilt University Hospital received approval from the TN Board of Pharmacy to provide prescription medication pickup via ScriptCenter for patients being discharged from their Behavioral Health Hospital. Serving these patients has been very challenging because they could not deliver directly to the bedside and coordinating the timing of the discharge was next to impossible. ScriptCenter will provide a safe and secure solution to allow patients to obtain their prescriptions as one of the final steps in the discharge process. Both the TN BOP and Vanderbilt Pharmacy Leadership are very excited to provide ScriptCenter as the solution to this problem. Making sure these patients go home with their prescriptions is a big part of maintaining their on going health and reducing the possibility of them being readmitted to the hospital.
