Area Vice President of Sales – Hospital/Healthcare

Asteres Inc. develops secure self-service kiosks for the storage and delivery of prescriptions and consumer products. Asteres’ premier product is ScriptCenter, the first prescription pickup kiosk for retail, healthcare and military pharmacies that allows patients to pick up and pay for their prescriptions even when the pharmacy is closed.

Asteres is seeking an exceptional driven sales professional to drive sales within the hospital/healthcare segment.  We are looking for an aggressive hunter that has a proven track record of selling into hospitals at the senior management levels. The ideal candidate must possess a solid track record of successfully selling large ticket items into hospitals and healthcare systems.  Managing complex sales by cross selling into key departments such as Pharmacy, IT, Finance and Legal is required and familiarity of the implementation process of a new technology is preferred.

Responsibilities:
This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties in various accounting functions and will frequently interact with co-workers, customers, and vendors. Responsibilities include full cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable, sales and use tax returns, monthly reconciliations, fixed assets and taking on special accounting projects. This person must take initiative and be able to handle multiple deadlines as a standard process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but not limited to the following:

  • Proven track record of selling into hospitals at the senior management levels.
  • Developing and executing sales plans, initiatives and strategies for developing new business by market.
  • Driving the overall strategies and business plans to meet customer and Asteres goals.
  • Successful sales and management of complex corporate customer relationships.
  • Providing customers with business development advice and financial analysis to formulate financial plans and profit enhancing opportunities designed to point out the benefits of company products/services/technologies.
  • Managing relationships from close of sale to successful installation and implementation of product.
  • Ensure on-going attention to enhancing strong relationships with key customers in order to build/maintain the credibility required to keep the business of these customers during times of risk and to serve as references for new accounts.
  • Achieving Company revenue and profitability goals for the hospital segment.
  • Developing sales proposals, sales presentations, demonstrations, merchandising plans, and sales promotions to capture new business.
  • Be proactive in understanding the trends and issues likely to impact the market.
  • Advising the senior management team on sales directions, competitors and market trends.
  • Responsible for staying abreast of and learning about all new technical applications, products, programs, and services available to customers and for applying or utilizing them whenever appropriate or timely.
  • Updating and maintaining sales contacts and activity in Salesforce.com.

Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

  • Proven complex solution and consultative sales experience
  • Proven ability to create and sell return on investment and corresponding implementation/ operations models
  • Proven ability to effectively manage through long term, complex sales cycles (9 – 12 months)
  • Proven ability to quickly engage, build relationships and close in the c-suite
  • Proven ability to create new market sales
  • Successful and compelling cold calling strategies
  • Business/financial acumen
  • Must be able to work independently and in an autonomous work environment
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of the hospital industry, competitors, and leading customer strategies
  • Strong value proposition and strategic selling skills
  • Excellent negotiation and contract development skills
  • Strong sales planning, forecasting and reporting skills
  • 8-10 years successful sales experience in the hospital/healthcare industry preferred
  • Experience establishing and building strong collaborative business partnerships within large hospital systems preferred
  • Proven track record of developing and effectively implementing sales strategies, business plans, forecasts and budgets, and achieving sales results
  • Experience with Salesforce.com required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Education:

  • BS/BA in business or related Field

Software Engineer (Mid-Level)

Other Requirements:
